The MacDougalls have lived in the Ottawa Valley for over 200 hundred years but I have had the good fortune to see much of the world.

As a child I lived in Saudi Arabia, and worked on my MA as an anthropologist in Italy and Montreal. In takes effort to keep the connections going between people but friends and family are important.

Each summer we still gather at the cottage my grandfather built in the 1940s on the Ottawa River in Pontiac County Quebec.
